Our regular retail hours are augmented with a rotating assortment of tea tastings and classes, pop-up bakery collaborations, artist receptions, ephemeral fancies, and opportunities for visitors to become more involved in the processes behind the cultivation and craft of tea production.

SEPTEMBER 2026 SESSIONS

 

INTRODUCTION TO TEA WORKSHOP, SEPTEMBER

One seating on select weekdays (11am - 12.30pm)

Dates: September 4, 6, 11, 18, 27

Designed specifically for the novice tea drinker and first time attendees, our Introduction to Tea Workshop is led by a rotating member of the Song Team.

Over the course of and hour and a half, we'll guide students through each tea type, highlighting the craftsmanship and cultivars that makes each category unique. Basic tea brewing in a gaiwan is demonstrated, and plenty of tea will be shared! This introductory class is limited to six guests per seating.

THREE TEAS, SEPTEMBER

One seating on select weekdays and weekends (12pm - 1pm)

Dates: September 3, 5, 10, 17, 19, 24, 26

Three Teas is a chance to get nerdy with our team over three pots of tea, against the hum of the bustling Song studio. Each month, we’ll be focusing on a specific theme, discussing the qualities of flavor and experience with groups up to four. These tea tasting sessions are intended to be quite casual, fostering conversation and friendship across the table.

September Three Teas repeats the theme from August, with tastings that highlight the vast range of floral notes across our collection, from the fresh, blossom-like flavors of high mountain harvests to woodsy, dark florals found in red teas and roasted oolongs.

THREE MATCHAS, SEPTEMBER

Two seatings on select weekdays and weekends (10am and 12.30pm)

Dates: September 3, 20, 25

Modeled after Three Teas, this series is an opportunity to taste and learn about matcha in a small class setting, capped at four people per session.

Three Matchas will always include two that we have in our collection, leaving one wild-card matcha or related tea for us to explore new and interesting varieties and flavors.

As is our traditional, matcha events are accompanied by a small sweet bite, made to pair with the experience.

ITTY BITTY POTTERY - Little Monsters Pop-up

From 12pm - 5pm

Dates: September 12

Monsters are taking over the Song studio! Join us for an Itty Bitty Pottery pop-up with monster maker and friend of Song Tea, Gordon Szeto. Monster tea pets will be available for adoption all day. Stop by! No reservations necessary!

Now in its second month! This program has been in the works for a long time now, a long overdue Introduction to Tea, designed specifically for the novice tea drinker and first time attendees to this series.

Led by a member of the Song team, this 1.5 hour class guides students through each tea type, highlighting the craftsmanship and cultivars that makes each category unique. Basic tea brewing in a gaiwan is demonstrated, and plenty of tea will be shared! This introductory class in limited to six guests per seating.
